Where Veranda stands

We're a young, open marketplace. Being straight with you about that is the safest thing we can do.

What we do
  • Connect you with owners, agents and businesses near you
  • Keep your chat history, so what you agreed is on record
  • Show ratings and reviews from past rentals
  • Take down listings and users you report
What we don't do yet
  • Hold your money or your deposit
  • Insure the item against damage or theft
  • Verify every user's identity

You and the other person agree the terms directly. Escrow payments and verified IDs are coming as we grow. Until then, the rules below do that job.

  • They rush you off Veranda into WhatsApp before agreeing anything
  • The price is far below every other listing in the city
  • They ask for your Mobile Money PIN or an OTP code, for any reason at all
  • Brand-new profile, no reviews, photos taken from the internet
